Blueberry Shake Petunia

The Shake series is a new series of petunias from seed with unique variations of patterns on multicolored flowers. Excellent for borders, bedding, and containers. Blueberry Shake has large, 1 ½-2” flowers on compact, mounded plants that grow 8-10” high and 10-12” wide. Low maintenance plants flower the entire season.

Annual 

Germination: 10-21 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures are 70-80ºF.

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on the surface and press into the soil

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Provide 70-80ºF soil temperatures. Transplant after the last frost, 12-28" apart. Water seedlings regularly until established. 

Sowing Outdoors: We do not recommend starting petunia seeds outdoors

Uses: Flower beds, containers, hanging baskets, or window boxes 

Care:  Blueberry Shake Petunia needs to be fertilized and watered regularly, especially when grown in containers. This will keep the plants blooming all season long. During the heat of summer, they will need to be watered a few times a week. When growing petunias in the ground, amend the soil with compost before planting.  Apply a liquid fertilizer every 1-2 weeks or use a time-release fertilizer at planting time.
